A retina specialist is a highly trained sub-specialist with skills to diagnose and treat the most complex parts of the eye. They have completed medical school and specialized training as an ophthalmologist and then pursued additional training in retinal diseases and surgery.

Dr. Amador Subong joined The Retina Group of Seattle after 12 years practicing retina and vitreous surgery for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California.

Dr. Subong is a board certified ophthalmologist with expertise in disorders of the retina, macula, and vitreous.
