Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Our 76-bed NICU provides the highest level of care as designated by the American Academy of Pediatrics. A Level IV NICU can provide the most complex level of neonatal care including surgical repair of congenital or acquired conditions and immediate on-site access to pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists and pediatric anesthesiologists.

How many visitors per patient at BayCare?

To ensure social distancing, only one visitor per patient is allowed in the hospital at a time. All other limitations on visitation at BayCare hospitals remain in effect due to BayCare’s continued commitment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of patients, visitors, team members and physicians.

Is Baycare tightening its visitation policy?

In response to rising COVID-19 infections across West Central Florida, BayCare is tightening its temporary visitation rules at its 14 acute care hospitals to protect patients, team members, physicians, and the public. Learn more about the visitation policy.
