Digital appointment letters This new way of receiving an appointment letter will mean that patients will be able to view all of their appointment details on their smartphone, tablet or computer. Once received, the appointment can then be added directly into the patient's digital calendar as a further reminder too.
We have now rolled out digital letters in most departments across the Trust. If you should be receiving digital letters but are not, we may not have your correct mobile number on our system. Please contact the telephone number in your appointment letter and check we have your most up-to-date mobile number.

Unlike our current Patient Access system, you can even prove your identity using the App itself without needing to bring any ID to the surgery. If you are already a user of Patient Access, you will be able to access exactly the same information on the NHS App as you currently do on Patient Access.
The NHS App will not replace existing services. Patients can continue to use Patient Access online or you can contact your practice in the usual ways if you prefer.
Logging in using your email, password and security code When you log in to the app with your NHS login email and password, you'll be sent a security code to your mobile phone. You'll need this code to log in. If you do not receive the security code text message, enter your email address and password again.
