Can I access the portal on my phone or mobile device? Yes. MyChildrensNationalPortal is available for both iOS and Android devices via a browser or mobile App. If the mobile device meets the requirements listed below, users can download Cerner’s HealtheLife app in order to access Children’s patient portal.
The Children's National Provider Portal is a resource for referring physicians looking for real-time information on their patients referred to Children’s National Hospital. The provider portal offers nursing documentation, radiology and lab results, and other clinical information.
Our Provider Portal is a resource for primary care providers to obtain real-time information on their patients who receive services at Children’s National. Log in to gain access.
Children’s National must grant secure access to each physician who will log into the Provider Portal. Submit the access request form.
To request medical information, please email us a completed Authorization for Release of Medical Information form ( English | Español ). The form must be signed by a parent, legal guardian and/or the patient (if the patient is 18 years of age or older). Legal guardians must provide appropriate documentation along with the authorization.
Changes to patient names within the medical record and hospital systems should be made through the HIM department.

Messaging on the MyChildren’s portal is a secure, web-based service that allows you to send non-urgent questions to your care team at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Parents will no longer have access to their child’s information once the patient turns 18. The patient cannot grant access to a parent to restore access. My child with special needs is over the age of 18.
Clinical notes are available as soon as your provider completes them. Lab results — including tests done in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings — will display as soon as they are resulted. Diagnostic test reports are available as soon as they are resulted.
Can I set up a MyChildren’s account? Yes, as long as you have guardianship papers on file with Boston Children’s , you can access your child’s information with your MyChildren’s account. If you have the guardianship papers, you can email the PDF documents to mychildrenssupport@childrens.harvard.edu.
