All UCLA Club Sport Athletes are required to have a pre-participation exam (PPE) once upon entry to the club sports program. The Ashe Center offers testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as part of a primary care visit, or ordered individually through the Patient Portal for self-testing.
UC SHIP members only pay $10 copay for the annual eye exam (with or without dilation).
The contact lens fitting and evaluation is an additional $55 to $85 on top of the $10 exam copay, depending on the contact lenses you and doctor will decide on. If you wear specialty contacts, there may be exceptions but your doctor can discuss this with you.
