If you visit a Swedish hospital or emergency department, Patient Registration is able to gather the necessary information from you to issue you a MyChart access code and instructions. This access code and instructions will enable you to log in and create your own user ID and password and activate your account.

How long does it take for lab results to be available in MyChart?

Lab results during your inpatient stay will be made available 24 hours after discharge. Once they are made available, they follow the automatic release timeframes for outpatient results. Tests that are not available in MyChart will be communicated to you by telephone or U.S. Mail.

How long does it take for X-ray results to be released?

X-ray results will be available two days after they are resulted. Other Imaging results are available four days after they are resulted. Some results, such as genetic tests and tumor markers are released at 14 or 30 days. HIV related tests are manually released by your provider or auto-released after 90 days.

Do Swedish Americans get paper bills?

SwedishAmerican patients who have an active MyChart account will be automatically enrolled in paperless billing and will no longer receive bills in the U.S. mail. If you have already opted out of paperless billing, you will continue to receive paper statements. When a new bill is available, you will receive a notice through the MyChart mobile app and through the email linked to your MyChart account.
