What You Need to Know About Having Surgery

Properly preparing for surgery will make the entire process easier for both you and your caregivers. Your surgeon and his/her staff will give you specific instructions for your particular surgical procedure.

Getting Ready for Surgery

Bathe or shower the night before or the morning of your scheduled procedure. You may brush your teeth, as usual.

On the Day of Surgery

Please bring a valid picture ID and your insurance card with you for the admissions process. Standard hours for admission are 7:15 am to 5 pm.

After Surgery

Contact your surgeon if you develop a cold, sore throat, cough, fever or other illness immediately following your procedure.
