When you call the Patient Transfer Center, available 24 hours a day, a registered nurse will help you refer your patient to the location that best meets his or her needs, close to home. This includes sending records to specialists, emergency departments, other hospitals, and more — with your request and authorization, of course. Or perhaps you want a copy of your medical record for personal reasons.
