The Highland Health Center is a partnership between the Health Department and Gaston Family Health Services. At our clinic on Highland Street, we're trying a new model of public health clinical services.
STD appointments are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 - 10:30 and Tuesday and Thursday 1-3:30. Patients will be offered an appointment within ONE workday of their request. Immunizations. All vaccines required for school or child care and many recommended vaccines are available at the Health Department.
To qualify, women must meet the following criteria: 50-64 years of age. Do not have Medicaid or Medicare.
Reportable diseases, the diseases that are routinely monitored and followed up on by the Health Department, usually present a threat to the public's health, and must be quickly contained.

If you call the office after office hours, you will be directed to one of our on-call nurses. If you need to speak to the doctor on call, the nurse will contact the doctor for you.

In order to qualify for a Care Card to receive discounted services, you need to fill out additional forms and go through a formal screening process. We recommend that you complete this process before you need services because of the additional time necessary to process your information.
We are in-network with many carriers. However, you should also check with your insurance to confirm that we are an in-network provider. At the time of service, you will need to pay your copay. We submit your claims to your insurance company for the care you receive.
We are in-network with many dental insurance plans and you will be charged for services according to your individual plan. If you do not have dental insurance and have a current Care Card, you will be charged according to the Sliding Fee Scale.
We are a provider of the Colorado Dental Health Program for Low Income Seniors. This program provides access to dental care to individuals age 60 and over who are not eligible for dental services under any other dental health care program, such as Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program).
