Our practice and philosophy are somewhat different from many primary care offices. Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes. That extra time is spent discussing you and your concerns, as well as diagnostic possibilities, treatment options, illness prevention, and, most importantly, health promotion. You are not required to spend that long with your physician, but when was the last time you left your doctor’s office feeling like all questions were answered?

Office Visit Policy

Please remember to bring your insurance card and driver’s license to your office visit appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide a 24-hour notice or you may be charged for a missed appointment. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork.

Lab at Carrboro Family Medicine

The lab located inside the Carrboro Family Medicine office is operated in-house. If you receive a bill for lab work, it will be from Carrboro Family Medicine. Our lab takes the same insurances. If you have any questions, please ask our technician or phlebotomist before you have your blood drawn.

Copies of Patient Medical Records

Patients requesting a copy of their medical records will incur a $25 charge for this service.

Prescription Refills

Please contact your pharmacy and ask them to e-scribe a refill authorization. Please allow one week for refills to be completed.

Insurance Matters

If you have a deductible/co-insurance plan, you are required to pay a $75 deposit at the time of service.
