Antenatal Testing for pregnant women. Saint Peter’s Breast Center, central New Jersey’s first facility specializing in breast care to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
Women’s Ambulatory Care Services, located at Saint Peter’s Family Health Center in New Brunswick, offers obstetrical and gynecological care to women from primarily low-income (charity care and Medicaid), underserved communities. Comprehensive obstetrical care (prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care) is provided by board certified obstetricians in Saint Peter’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Services include nutritional counseling, ultrasound surveillance of fetal growth and development, and co-management with or referral to the Maternal Fetal-Medicine Division for risk factors that may develop during the pregnancy. These patients account for approximately 1,500 deliveries per year, in addition to 15,000 obstetrical outpatient visits per year and 3,860 gynecologic outpatient visits per year.
