Where is Amy Horton?

Amy Horton, MA is our referral coordinator, medical records specialist, and float medical assistant at Pacific Family Medicine. Amy joined our team in February 2021.#N#Amy attended Ilwaco High School, Lower Columbia College, and Brigham Young University, Her Associates Degree focused on Human Development, and expanded into training in emergency medical technician, firefighting, customer service, youth protection, and over 200 hours of trauma therapy. She received multiple service excellence awards during her 17 years of experience in the medical front and back offices as well as volunteering whenever possible outside of work.#N#Amy currently lives in Longview, Washington. She is a mother to her 2 adult children, 2 dogs, and a cat, and has been married for over 20 years to her husband and best friend Patrick. She loves camping, reading, sewing, quilting, and watching movies.

Who is Janet Mossman?

Janet Mossman is the Clinic Manager for Pacific Family Medicine. She has worked in healthcare and healthcare management since 1993. She started at Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics in Ilwaco, Washington and spent the first fifteen rewarding years of her career there. She went on to manage Ocean Beach and Pacific Crest Physical Therapy clinics, and then joined Pacific Family Medicine in August of 2012.#N#Janet came to us with degrees in both Business Management and Accounting. She is Board Certified through the American College of Medical Practice Executives as a Fellow. She also holds several other national healthcare management and administration board certifications, and has a tremendous amount of experience in healthcare administration.#N#Janet has served three 2-year terms on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Medical Group Manager’s Association. Janet is currently serving in the position of President. She holds membership in the American Association of Professional Coders, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Oregon Medical Association, the Oregon Medical Manager’s Association and the National Medical Group Manager’s Association where she stays abreast of major healthcare movement and legal requirements. Janet‘s strongest strength is advocating for each and every patient.#N#She is married to her best friend Leonard; they have three children, a daughter-in-law, eleven grandchildren, two female German shepherds, and a Chihuahua. She truly loves living in and being a part of the Clatsop County community; having lived in the area her entire life. Janet is very family oriented, and is most often found spending time with her family and close friends doing outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, and exploring. Her hobbies include restoring and camping in her vintage 1955 Airstream travel trailer, photography, and quilting. She is proud to be part of the wonderful, dedicated team of professionals at Pacific Family Medicine, and looks forward to many more rewarding years to come!

Shelli Brown, CCMA for Shannon Marsh, FNP-C at Pacific Family Medicine. She joined our team in February of 2020. Shelli previously worked in customer service at the Columbia Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for several years. She is pleased to be now working in direct patient care.

Who is Kathryn Schat?

Dr. Kathryn Schat is Board certified Family Medicine and is a hospitalist at Long Beach Memorial Hospital since February of 2019. She has worked as a hospitalist at Norton Healthcare Louisville, KY from 2012-2018. Dr. Schat worked as the Medical Director of the Centers for Primary Care and Ambulatory Care Clinic University of Louisville, KY from 2008-2012 and as the Medical Director of Lakes Region General Hospital outpatient/inpatient Family Medicine office, NH from 2001-2008.Dr. Schat served her country as a Major with the US Air Force and was the Medical Director of the Copper Panel Primary Care at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base,Tucson, AZ.
