The TOL Patient Portal (also referred to as "TRICARE Online" or "TOL") is the current secure patient portal that gives registered users access to online health care information and services at military hospitals and clinics.
If you move back to a non-MHS GENESIS location, you’ll resume use of the TOL Secure Patient Portal for all secure actions (appointing, viewing health data, prescription refills, secure messaging).
MHS GENESIS is the new secure patient portal for TRICARE. It will eventually deploy to all military medical and dental facilities worldwide and replace the TOL Patient Portal.
As soon as your record is created, you’ll be able to see your health data in MHS GENESIS.
PURPOSE: To allow you to view and manage you and your family's appointments at military hospitals and clinics, refill prescriptions, and view your personal health data through TRICARE Online.
TOL appointments should not be used for emergent medical needs such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or other new or worsening conditions where an immediate physical examination is warranted. Your local clinic may be able to provide guidance. If unsure, seek emergency care.
At any time, the USG may inspect and seize data stored on this IS. Communications using, or data stored on, this IS are not private, are subject to routine monitoring, interception, and search, and may be disclosed or used for any USG-authorized purpose.
TRICARE is a registered trademark of the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency. All rights reserved. AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. Chapter 55, Medical and Dental Care; 32 CFR Part 199, Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS); and E.O. 9397 (SSN), as amended.
The system is now called TOL Patient Portal Secure Messaging, the same name used by the Army and Navy. This is intended to minimize confusion for Military Health System patients who move between health facilities.
Air Force patients will still get the same functionality from the renamed system, and be able to access it from the same locations and links. Secure messaging provided access for doctors and patients to communicate electronically over an encrypted system about health issues, appointments, prescriptions, lab results, health records and other information.
