Patient Zero is a unique spore carrier found in the Big MT. A human test-subject became what was considered an unsuccessful experiment because the patient "died" one day after being exposed to Beauveria mordicana fungi. However when the scientists returned to the laboratory, the body of Patient Zero had disappeared. It presumably fled to the X-22 botanical garden ….
