East Tennessee is an amazing resource for our community and the surrounding counties. Our clinic treats patients from all over Tennessee and outside of the state. We are one of the busiest pediatric GI practices in the United States. Our website www.www.giforkids.com is one of the most visited websites for pediatric gastroenterology.
Our Clinical Research Coordinator, Mary Ellen McNeal, BSN, RN, manages the clinical studies here at GI For Kids. She works hand-in-hand with our physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure that studies are conducted safely and according to the set protocols.

A medical doctor, called a principal investigator, is the leader of the study at clinical sites. There will be a research team composed of other doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals trained to conduct research with human subjects.
