Regular Decision notifications will be posted on Wednesday, March 30, at 6:00 pm ET. The Emory University admission staff have evaluated another outstanding year of Regular Decision (RD) applicants.
Why is that? Emory's recruiting process can take a long time; the average timeframe is 180 days. Please be sure to log in to your online account to check the status of your application.
3.78With a GPA of 3.78, Emory University requires you to be above average in your high school class. You'll need at least a mix of A's and B's, with more A's than B's. You can compensate for a lower GPA with harder classes, like AP or IB classes.

Does Emory offer interviews for applicants? We do not offer interviews with admission staff. Neither prospective students nor applicants can request an interview. We do have an Alumni Interview Program that is part of the application process for a small portion of students who apply to Emory University.

In these cases, since applications are due earlier (usually in November), you can expect an earlier decision notification as well—usually around December. Some schools offer secondary early decision plans called Early Decision II for which applications are due a little bit later, usually in January.

Applicants should complete a bachelor's degree with certain prerequisite courses and take the GRE (as well as the TOEFL for students whose native language is not English). This program also requires a minimum of 2,000 hours of direct patient care experience. To apply, complete the Centralized Application Service for PAs (CASPA) application, including letters of recommendation, transcripts, and GRE scores. Then complete the supplementary Emory application. Qualified applicants will be invited for a small-group interview.
To prepare for this program, you should complete a bachelor's degree with several prerequisite courses (which may still be in progress at the time of application), take the GRE, and seek out experience with patient care or supportive counseling. Applicants must register for the Genetic Counseling Admissions Match and complete Emory's application process, including personal references , a written narrative statement , demonstration of previous exposure to the field of genetic counseling, and an in-person interview.
