If a student contacts a faculty or staff member about testing positive by an off campus provider and needing to be out of class/campus work, the F/S needs to report that information to covidreporting@winthrop.edu and include the student’s name, CWID, and current phone number if available. Health Services will contact the student directly. Health Services will not communicate about student results with faculty or staff.
Isolation and Quarantine Criteria 1 Your quarantine period may end after 7 days as long as you test negative at least 5 days after your exposure and you do not develop any symptoms. Students must contact Health Services at covidreporting@winthrop.edu and attach the negative test result or upload the test result in the Patient Portal. Upon receipt of the negative test result, Health Services will call you to discuss updated dates for your absence notification to the Dean of Students Office. 2 If you choose not to test then you will need to complete the full 10 day quarantine period. This time frame changes if you develop symptoms. 3 Regardless, students must continue to monitor for COVID-like symptoms for the full 14 days and immediately report any changes to Health Services via the Daily Symptom Tracker in the Patient Portal or covidreporting@winthrop.edu
