What does the Ryan Center do?

You can register online as a new Ryan Health patient by clicking the corresponding button in the Patient Portal section of the Become a Patient page. If you are a registered Ryan Health patient and have an active email address, you can request access to the MyCare Portal by submitting this form. Please fill out all fields and click submit.

Why Ryan health?

The William F. Ryan Community Health Center (Ryan Center) is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing care to low-income and underserved patients throughout Manhattan. The Ryan Center recently added a portal for patients to access health records electronically, and is evaluating ways to improve patient activation and engagement.

What is it like to be a patient at Ryan Center?

Our MyCare Portal gives you direct access, through a secure website, to some of your personal health information in the EMR. When was Ryan Health established?

In 1967, Ryan Health was established to meet the community's need for healthcare services on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. In 1977, it became an independent, community-controlled health center, and in 1978, was renamed in memory of its greatest advocate, U. S. Congressman William F. Ryan.

Accepted Forms of Payment

Ryan Health minimizes cost and inconvenience to patients wherever possible by offering a sliding-fee scale based on income and family size, and accepting many forms of health insurance, including:

Sliding Scale Fee

Ryan Health will never turn you away because of your inability to pay. How much you pay for a service is based on your family size and income. Laboratory work, general x-rays, and EKGs are included in the fee for each visit. Ryan Health offers a low-cost pharmacy plan if you do not have insurance that covers prescriptions.

The Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program, called the Community Health Outreach (CHO) program at the William F.

Linkages

The CHO team maintains numerous linkages with other program providers, including substance abuse counseling and treatment agencies, to ensure coordination and case management of these services. The Center maintains a backup agreement with Mount Sinai St.
