VSP has an online patient portal that makes submitting claims easy. In about 5 minutes you can submit with the information provided by us. We are happy to assist you in the process and answer any questions you might have. How much am I going to get back? This depends on your specific vision plan with VSP.
Your username is most commonly your email address because it is easy to remember.
Your employer (or client) establishes your member ID number through VSP. It is often your social security number, but it may also be a unique ID number. If you're unsure of what your member ID is, you can check with your benefits office or call us at 800.877. 7195.

To make changes to your current plan, call Member Services at 800.785. 0699 prior to your policy renewal date. If payment is not received for any reason, VSP may cancel your plan after thirty (30) days from when your premium was due.
If you need to make any changes to your VSP vision plan or update your contact information call 800.785.0699 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, or email member@vspindividual.com. You can update your vsp.com profile at any time.

6. When can I enroll my dependents on my VSP Plan? Newly acquired dependents, (birth, adoption, marriage) can be added to your vision plan within 60 days of the date of the event. You can also enroll dependents during the annual open enrollment period.
If you get notified that your account can't be created, there may be a couple reasons. One being, you'll need to be an active VSP member with effective coverage in order to create an account at this time. (If you've enrolled, but your coverage period hasn't started yet, you'll need to wait until it's active).
VSP Vision Care benefit information is considered (PHI). Our arrangement with the group policyholder, with respect to Protected Health Information (PHI), prevents members from accessing an adult dependent’s PHI without the dependent’s specific written authorization. Please call VSP at (800) 877-7195 if you have any questions.
Failure to submit your out-of-network claim within 12 months of the date of service may cause your claim request to be denied. Please allow up to 10 business days (plus mailing time to and from VSP) for us to process your reimbursement.
Tip: Missing information and receipts can delay your reimbursement. Fill out the form completely and if you're filling it out online, snap a picture of your receipt and attach it to your claim to get your reimbursement faster. If you have receipts for other claims you must complete a separate claim form.
