Yes. Students who are not able to get a vaccine that is recognized by U-M policy are welcome on campus in the fall. Although it is strongly encouraged, there is no requirement at this time to be vaccinated in order to come to campus; however, there is a requirement for living in campus housing. Unvaccinated students will need to comply with required testing and mitigation procedures until they are fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. In addition, students will be offered the opportunity of vaccination with an FDA-authorized vaccine when they arrive on campus. Specific details on mitigation strategies and vaccination opportunities will be communicated to students during the summer as more information becomes available.
