To find out what your insurance plan covers and what your financial obligation may be, call the Customer Service or Member Services Department of your insurance company ( the phone numbers are on your insurance card). Your employer's human resources department may also be a source of information and assistance.

How long does it take for a bill to be sent?

Bills can be sent up to 12 months from the date of service or six months from when we receive the explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance provider . Whether you have insurance coverage or not, you as the patient are ultimately responsible to make sure your bill is paid.

The Surgery Waiting Room is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM): On the day of surgery at the DCAM, please go directly to 2C. The DCAM 2C waiting room is open Monday to Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you do not have a safe in your room, ask your nurse to assist by contacting Public Safety. Public Safety has limited capacity to secure valuables. Items that can be stored, such as cash, rings, watches and credit cards, must fit in a 4.5 x 8-inch envelope.
