Child Life Services, within the Department of Pediatrics, provides care for pediatric patients and families admitted to the Harbor-UCLA’s pediatric inpatient unit, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric outpatient clinics and the Pediatric Emergency Department. Child Life Specialists provide age-appropriate, psychosocial care to pediatric and adolescent patients and their families to decrease distress and increase effective coping with health care experiences.
