How do I get to UB health services?

Health Services is located in Michael Hall, on UB's South Campus. Get off at the Goodyear stop, cross the street and follow the sidewalk to Michael Hall. Use one of the nearby bike racks to lock your bike.

How do I get my medical records from UB?

If you you are a former UB student or cannot log in to PatientLink, please complete the Authorization to Release or Obtain Health Records form. Health and immunization records submitted to or generated by Health Services are held on file for 10 years.

How do I see a doctor or nurse at UB?

If you need to see a doctor or nurse for medical care, start by making an appointment with Health Services. Health Services offers assistance to all UB students’ regardless of the type of health insurance plan they have. You do not need to be insured through one of UB’s health insurance plans to utilize Health Services.

Where can I get prescriptions filled at UB?

Most students and international scholars must carry health insurance coverage for the duration of their academic registration at UB. You can get prescriptions filled and purchase over-the-counter (OTC) medications at the UB Student Health Pharmacy, and at nearby off-campus pharmacies.

When do you need to submit documentation for UB?

Only students new to UB or returning students who have not been registered for classes since before Fall 2021 need to submit documentation of MMR, COVID and Meningitis immunizations.

Does UB have a meningitis requirement?

Online-only or distance learning students will need to comply with the meningitis information requirement. They are exempt from the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) requirement, as long as they will not be attending classes on UB’s three campuses and they have submitted a completed immunization waiver request.

Where is Michael Hall?

Michael Hall is located on Michael Road, off Bailey Avenue. You should receive an emailed parking pass the day before your appointment. Display this parking pass on your dashboard when you park in the Michael-Farber Lot. If you don’t receive the pass, request a parking pass from our reception staff upon arrival. View campus maps.

To maintain confidentiality, contact your health insurance company and ask that any “Explanation of Benefits” involving you be sent directly to you and no one else.

How long does it take for UBlearns to process?

Please allow 10 business days for Health Services to process your records and update UBlearns.

Can you re-release medical records from another agency?

If other individuals or agencies have provided confidential information to Health Services, you cannot use the authorization form to re-release this information. For copies of medical records that came from another individual or agency, please contact that original individual or agency directly.
