As a consequence of this disease, fat accumulates from the blood in the arterial wall and mixes there with calcium particles and other substances. Straub Medical Center is a 159-bed facility. The inpatient rooms are located on floors three to six and are all private rooms. Straub also has two ICU units on the second floor.
Parking is available at the Straub parking garage, valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Pay phones are located throughout the facility. A Text Telephone for the hearing impaired is located near the pay phones next to the security desk on the first floor of the hospital, facing South Hotel Street.

The Gift Shop is located in the courtyard on the King Street side of the hospital. Fresh flowers, magazines, greeting cards, toiletries, novelty items and postage stamps may be purchased there. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The shop is closed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
