Since joining forces, Ochsner Health and St. Tammany Health System have taken many steps to provide more high-quality specialty coverage to residents of western St. Tammany Parish.
With primary care clinics in Covington, Folsom, Mandeville and Madisonville, our St. Tammany Physicians Network offices are ready to deliver world-class health care close to home – wherever your home happens to be.
Founded in 1954 as St. Tammany Parish Hospital, St. Tammany Health System has grown over the decades to include dozens of satellite locations throughout western St. Tammany Parish.
Whether you’ve already got a doctor or you need a new one, our St. Tammany Physicians Network clinics offer traditional primary care visits for the whole family in four convenient locations throughout western St. Tammany Parish:
Not everybody works a regular 9-to-5, which can make getting routine healthcare difficult. With that in mind, St. Tammany Health System operates its Express Care walk-in clinic, which provides all the services you’d expect from a traditional medical office but in non-traditional hours.
In addition to helping detect disease early, when treatment is more effective, in-home wellness visits can also provide those who have chronic conditions with resources to help manage their condition. The best part: It’s all covered by Medicare Part B, so it comes with no additional expense for qualifying patients.
Patients are seen by appointment Monday through Friday, but in the case of a non-life threatening emergency, you can contact our offices 24 hours a day. Our professional answering service will connect you with the physician on call for after-hours emergencies. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.
If you need a refill on your medication, call your pharmacy and they will check with your physician regarding refill requirements. Routine prescriptions are filled within 48 hours of request either by the patient or pharmacy. Medications will not be refilled after hours, on weekends or on holidays.
To enroll in the patient portal, you must receive services at one of our locations. To create an account, you may self-enroll here. Alternatively, you may contact the location where you received care and tell them you would like to make an account. Registration requires an email and a valid ID.
All messages sent to your provider’s office are transferred via a secure server compliant with HIPAA standards.
The RWJBarnabas Health Patient Portal is a free service that provides convenient access to your personal health care information in a secure online environment. With the patient portal, you can view select test results, access your medical records and track your health information.
At the hospital patient portal, you can access read-only medical information through our secure server. This includes educational materials, information on your current medications, allergies, immunizations, health issues, and lab test results. All information is pulled directly from your electronic health records. Due to the sensitive nature of radiology and pathology test results, these are not available on the patient portal and must be obtained through the hospital’s Health Information Department.
RWJBarnabas Health is in the process transitioning all of our hospitals to a centralized patient portal called MyChart where all hospitals’ records will eventually be contained within one system for your convenience. Please be assured that you will always have access to your medical records.
