These measures show how often hospitals provide care that gets the best results for patients with certain conditions.
1 Emergency Department — Timely and effective care in hospital emergency departments is essential for good patient outcomes. Delays before getting care in the emergency department can reduce the quality of care and increase risks and discomfort for patients with serious illnesses or injuries.
Special Visitation Guidelines, Effective May 28, 2021. Visiting hours are from 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. daily. Please enter the hospital using the Outpatient Center entrance (driveway 3). Please stop at the Information Desk before proceeding on to your destination.
Patients having surgery are allowed two family members (18 years or older), who may wait in the Outpatient Center lobby. These persons will be allowed to see the patient before surgery and during recovery for discharge instructions. Staff will provide direction to you.
Patients are permitted to have two visitors/support persons per day. Visitors must be 18 years or older, unless other arrangements have been made. Visitor/support person needs to wear a mask that covers both the nose and the mouth and be kept on during the visit.
If you’re not sure, talk with a nurse before visiting. Visitors may be asked to leave the room when the patient receives treatment from a doctor or nurse. Always check with the nurse or the registered dietitian before bringing special foods from home. Most patients are on special diets while in the hospital.
Chairs are provided for the comfort of visitors – please do not sit on the patient’s bed. Brief visits are not as tiring to patients, so please keep visits brief so others may visit, as well. Discourage friends and family from visiting if they have colds or other infectious diseases.
Visitor/support person may leave and return on the same day, but is required to keep the Visitor Approved sticker on. Visitor/support person must wash or sanitize hands upon entering and exiting the patient room and immediately after touching face or adjusting mask.
