BayCare Tightens Hospital Visitation Rules

In response to rising COVID-19 infections across West Central Florida, BayCare is tightening its temporary visitation rules at its 14 acute care hospitals to protect patients, team members, physicians, and the public.

Gift Shop & Dining

Alexander's Cafe is located on the first floor of the hospital. The cafe is open from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. They serve a rotating variety of buffet items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, vending is located throughout the hospital for after hours convenience. Flowers and gifts are provided by Creative Flower Designs by Glenn.

395.3025 – Fees for medical record copies related to Health facilities and ambulatory surgery. F.S. 456.057 – Fees for medical record copies related to Healthcare practitioners and physicians’ offices.

Who must sign a medical record request?

All requests for the release of medical records must be submitted in writing and must be dated and signed by the patient or the patient's legally authorized representative. In the case of a minor, the parent or guardian must sign the authorization.

What is the HIM department?

The HIM Department is responsible for the creation of a birth certificate for all live-born infants delivered at or in route to a Baptist Health South Florida facility. All Baptist Health birthing facilities are currently using the Electronic Birth Registration System (EBRS) from the State of Florida, Office of Vital Statistics.

What is My Baptist Connect?

The My Baptist Connect website is a safe, private way for Baptist Health patients to stay connected to their personal health information.

To enroll, all you need is a secure Personal Information Number, or PIN. We’ll send you a secure PIN by mail after your visit — or we can email it to you as a part of your registration process, if you prefer.
