Retirement Information

Membership in the Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) is mandatory for all state employees, except those persons specifically exempted by law. Please review the information below and make notes of any questions you may have to be answered during orientation.

Documents to be Completed

The documents listed below MUST be printed, completed, and brought with you for submission to HR at your in-person orientation. Failure to do this may delay your start date. Please note that the W-4, L-4 and Direct Deposit Form only need to be brought with you in the event you are unable to enter the information contained in those forms into LEO.

What is Mental Health?

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, “mental illnesses are medical conditions that disrupt a person’s thinking, feeling, mood, ability to relate to others and daily functioning.” Mental health disorders do not develop because someone is weak.

SCLHSA offers the following Mental Health Services

Behavioral Health Assessments— Determines the level of care and individualized treatment needs.

Behavioral Health Centers

Specialty Programs

Substance Abuse Professional Services SCLHSA’s certified SAP provides assessment and completion interviews for individuals in violation of the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation 49 CFR Part 40.

Prevention Services

SCLHSA provides evidence-based prevention services in the school setting in Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary and Terrebonne Parishes.
