The provider’s assistant plays an important role in your health care. You can expect the assistant to manage an array of health care services such as giving injections, providing medical advice and follow-up care over the phone. You do not need to be an existing Rockwood patient to be seen by one of our providers. Some health plans may require a referral from your primary care provider. Many plans however allow patients to self-refer without a physician referral. Patients can select from a wide range of primary care providers in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. Rockwood operates six primary care locations geographically dispersed throughout the region for patient convenience. Patients may also choose to receive treatment in one of our three Urgent Care Centers located in the Main Clinic downtown, Spokane Valley and in north Spokane. In order to obtain copies of your records or to authorize release of your medical records to another party, you must complete, sign and date an Authorization to Use and Disclose Protected Health Information form. To hand-deliver this form, visit any Rockwood Clinic location, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, or call 509-838-2531.
