What is iMedicalApps?

iMedicalApps is the leading online publication for medical professionals, patients, and analysts interested in mobile medical technology and health care apps. Our physician editors lead a team of physicians, allied health professionals, medical trainees, and mHealth analysts in providing reviews, research, and commentary of mobile medical technology. Our publication is heavily based on our own experiences in the hospital and clinic setting. Our experiences at iMedicalApps have led us to develop iPrescribeApps.com, a platform that will enable providers to prescribe health apps to their patients.

Where is Dr. Irfan Husain?

Irfan Husain, M.D. is starting residency in Emergency Medicine in July 2015 at the University of Texas Houston. He completed medical school at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He graduated from Duke University with a major in Economics. Irfan completed an MPH with a concentration in Health in Crisis and Humanitarian Assistance at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In addition to medicine, Irfan’s academic interests include disaster preparedness and response and public health implications of mobile technology.

Iltifat Husain ( @IltifatMD) is the founder and editor-in-chief of iMedicalApps.com. He is the co-founder of iPrescribeApps.com, a platform that will enable providers to prescribe health apps to their patients.

Where is Brian Chau?

Brian Chau is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) resident physician at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. Drawn to the field of PM&R for its focus on helping patient’s improve their functional abilities, his interest include the use of virtual reality in rehabilitation and wearable activity trackers in promoting exercise. With a fascination in the interface between technology and healthcare, he hopes to equip both clinicians and patients with the latest information in mobile healthcare advancements. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and fishing.

Where is Dr. Nathan Skelley?

Nathan Skelley is an orthopaedic surgery resident at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri before attending Cornell University where he majored in Science and Technology studies. He earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and plans to focus his medical career on the treatment of orthopaedic sports injuries.

Where is P.J. Lally?

P.J. Lally, M.D. is a family practice resident at Mercy Family Health Center in Sacramento. A transplant from the cold north of Minnesota and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, P.J. now lives in sunny Napa Valley. His interests in medicine include Family Practice, Critical Care, Palliative Care, and Quality Improvement.

Saif Usman M.D. ( @Su9) is a sports medicine physician with MedStar Medical Group in Rockville, MD. He completed his medical school at Sind Medical College in Pakistan.
