What is Pro Sports and Elite Rehab?

At Pro Sports & Elite Rehab, we use a collaborative team of Physicians along with our certified Osteoporosis Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive bone care. Osteoporosis is a silent disease with a staggering potential to reduce one's independence and quality of life. We provide in depth assessment of risk factors and secondary causes for osteoporosis as well educate patients at increased risk. Patients are given a chance to take charge of their condition including ensuring proper diet, exercise and if needed pharmacologic intervention, we follow the standards set forth by the National Osteoporosis Foundation and The International Society of Clinical Densitometry. We emphasize understanding your individual needs and strive to help you prevent an osteoporotic fracture.

What are the most common sports injuries?

The most common sports injuries are sprains and strains, fractures and dislocations.

How to treat a swollen shin?

Ice. Ice packs can be applied to the injured area, which will help reduce swelling and pain. Ice should be applied over a towel on the affected area for 15-20 minutes, four times a day, for several days. Never place ice directly over the skin.
