The mission of the Health Information Management Department of Permian Regional Medical Center is to provide quality transcription, complete retrievable and accurate documentation for research, and a guide for treatment.

How long do medical records stay in a PRMC?

Copies of any and all legal forms given to PRMC Medical Records will go into the patient's chart for the retention period of 10 years for adults or 20 years for minors. Examples of legal forms include but are not limited to: Advance Directives, Power of Attorney, Do Not Resuscitate (in and out of the hospital), Living Will and court papers.

To grant a caregiver, guardian or trusted family member / friend access to your MyHealthHome account, the requestor will first need to create their own MyHealthHome account. Once they have created their own account, they can request access to your account. You then will receive notice of the request along with an auto-generated PIN code to share with the requesting individual. Once the requesting individual has entered the PIN code, the accounts will be linked and the requestor will be granted access to view your health information.
