KHS officials have said critical access hospitals like Kimball’s are reimbursed by Medicare for costs incurred for both inpatient and outpatient services, including allowable costs such as depreciation and interest related to building projects. Essentially, they say, Medicare can be expected to reimburse KHS for more than half of the project cost.
Kimball Health Services is committed to protecting your health information and is required by law under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).
The patient portal allows access to your medical record to view 1) the providers that have given you care; 2) health problems; 3) allergies; 4) immunizations; 5) medications; 6) in-house lab test results; 7) vital signs and 8) radiology reports. These can be downloaded and shared with other providers.
To request a copy of your medical record, submit a completed authorization form electronically, by fax, mail, email or in person. Staff will make every effort to fill your request as soon as possible;
Kimball Health Services has a certified Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselor available for unbiased information on Medicare education and assistance with Medicaid.

In an effort to comply with Section 2718 (e) of the Affordable Care Act, Kimball Health Services has made standard charges for items and services received in the hospital setting publicly available and in a machine readable format.
Patients are seen by appointment – on the same day the appointment is made if possible. To schedule an appointment, please call (912) 535-5120 during regular business hours.
New patients are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. You can download, print, and complete the forms prior to your appointment. Please bring the completed forms, a list of all medications you are currently taking, recent copies of x-rays, lab results and your insurance card to your appointment.
We require payment of your co-payment and past-due account balances at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, debit and all major credit cards.
We will submit claims to most major insurance carriers. Please bring your insurance card and I.D. with you to every visit so we can ensure that our records are accurate.
To better serve the needs of all our patients, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule appointments. We make every effort to stay on schedule, although emergencies arise.

To keep staff and patients safe, walk-in patients with COVID-19 symptoms are not being accepted at the Kimball Clinic. An exam room specifically for patients experiencing symptoms has been established. Please call to complete a screening and to schedule a same day appointment.
When you get to your appointment, please call the office to let them know you've arrived and office staff will share next steps.
