Please call 765-742-1567 and ask to schedule a telemedicine appointment. These appointments can be conducted via a computer or a smartphone.

Does Riggs CHC accept Medicaid?

We accept Medicaid, some forms of commercial insurance and provide an income based sliding fee for underinsured and self pay patients. Where can I get a sick visit at Riggs?

Here at Riggs, children's health is extremely important. Sick Visits are available Monday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm at our South Street location and from 8am to 12pm on a first come first serve basis on Saturdays at our Hartford Street location.

What is a SSF at Riggs?

Riggs CHC offers a sliding scale fee (SSF) based on a patient’s income, disability & social security, government aid, and unemployment benefits. If a patient qualifies for the SSF, they will receive a discount on eligible charges. In order to qualify for the SSF, a patient will need to provide acceptable documentation. Once documentation has been provided and sliding fee percentage has been calculated, eligible charges incurred in the previous 30 days will be discounted. In order to qualify for the SSF, a patient will need to provide acceptable documentation within one month. If proper documentation is not provided in the one month time frame, the patient will be responsible for 100% of his or her charges. Amounts quoted for office visits are the minimum and subject to change with the services rendered and the level of service provided. Patients with insurance will be responsible for any remaining balances after insurance covers their portion. If a patient is unemployed and receiving no government aid, signed letters of support will be required from the patient and the individual providing support.

Does Riggs CHC send lab specimens?

Riggs CHC sends all lab specimens to LabCorp of America. Insured patients can incur a fee from having tests done by LabCorp. This will be on top of the fee paid to Riggs for specimen gathering and handling.

Children's Pediatrics

We offer child and family-friendly dental services to everyone. We currently accept many forms of Medicaid (HIP Plus, HIP State Plus, and others) in addition to the services provided to the uninsured.

Behavioral Health

Physical Health and Mental Wellness go hand in hand. Riggs Behavioral Health provides individual and family counseling services to adults, children and adolescents.

What health insurance does Riggs CHC accept?

Riggs Community Health Center accepts Medicaid, Medicare and all Commercial health insurances. We are In Network with the following commercial health insurances:

Adult Medicine

Our goal is to provide excellent care while addressing the needs of the adult community. We are always accepting new patients. Behavioral Health services are also now provided. Not feeling well? We also accept sick visits every day including Saturdays beginning at 8am.

Medication Assistance Program (MAP)

MAP is a Patient Assistance Program sponsored by pharmaceutical companies to allow uninsured patients to receive certain provider prescribed medications, free of charge for up to a year. Qualifying patients will have their prescriptions delivered to the Riggs CHC Hartford Street location where they will be available for pickup.

Dental Care

We offer child and family-friendly dental services to everyone. We currently accept many forms of Medicaid (HIP Plus, HIP State Plus, and others) in addition to the services provided to the uninsured. We are currently scheduling appointments for cleanings, extractions and fillings. To schedule an appointment call (765)742-1567 and select option #3.
