Students should not go to class or socialize if they have fever, are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19. Please follow the guidelines below

If a student on the Atlanta campus becomes symptomatic or has a concern about an exposure, they are instructed to access care through the Student Health Patient Portal and message the “COVID-19 Assessment Provider,” who will arrange testing if necessary.

Student Health Services (SHS)

Emory University Student Health Services is located in the 1525 Clifton Road Building on the Emory Campus and provides comprehensive outpatient medical care for enrolled students.

Student Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

The Emory University Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is located in the 1462 Clifton Road Building, Suite 235. CAPS provides free, confidential individual, group, and couples counseling for enrolled undergraduate, graduate and professional students at Emory University.

Services We Offer

Evaluation and treatment by a nurse practitioner for the full spectrum of primary health care concerns such as upper respiratory tract infections, dermatologic disorders, urinary tract infections, and acute injuries

Payment

Office visits to Student Health Services are covered by tuition. Students are charged for prescription medications, in-office labs, supplies, and immunizations. Some of these charges may be submitted by the student to their personal insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Required Forms

To ensure our campus community stays well and productive we require students to submit specific forms regarding their health. You can find a list of the documents you must review and/or complete and upload on the Oxford Campus Patient Portal.

Health Insurance (Every Student, Every Year)

Students are required to have health insurance. All students are automatically enrolled in the Aetna Emory Student Health Insurance Plan every year. Students do have the option to waive out of the plan by providing documentation that their personal plan meets the minimum criteria set by Emory.

Confidentiality

No one outside the student health office has access to a student’s health information. Records regarding treatment are privileged and will not be disclosed without the student’s written consent.
