She and her husband, Daren, have a filbert farm and stay busy moving irrigation pipe during the summer. Their sweet chocolate lab, Bailey, loves trips to the farm to help and explore. Katie enjoys peaceful times with a good article or recommended book and traveling. She is known to be awake at crazy hours of the night researching topics that intrigue her.
