How do I sign up for the patient portal?

Call the office at 757-596-1900 and ask to sign up for the Patient Portal. Once enrolled, visit www.nextmd.com to get started! Portal messages are answered within 2 business days, and are checked Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Important Notice: If you are trying to access your Patient Portal account and do not remember your Username or Password please contact our office for assistance. Due to some security changes with the newest version of the Patient Portal, the username/password recovery process has changed.

Do you need a portal account to pay bills?

Pay your bill (A portal account is not required to securely pay bills online) In order to access the new portal we need to provide you with a security token. This will ensure greater security and connect you to your healthcare account at Orthopaedic & Spine Center.

Who is notified when a patient appears at the surgery center with an advanced directive?

In the event a patient appears at the surgery center with an advanced directive or living will, the medical director or the ASC director will be notified.

What time does OSMC refill?

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of OSMC are routinely issued Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm. You can make your request by visiting our patient portal or call us at 574-264-0791.

Do you need a referral for physical therapy?

If your insurance requires a referral for an office visit, you should coordinate this with the referring physician before your appointment with us. Physical therapy appointments require a referral if you plan to use insurance. Find out more about our referral policy.

Does OSMC accept Medicare?

At OSMC, we accept workers’ compensation, Medicare, and most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (574) 264-4163 to find out if we accept your plan.
