What is Ocean Health Initiatives?

Ocean Health Initiatives is an integral part of the community that it serves by working closely with government agencies, health care providers and community human and social service organizations. These collaborations and partnerships encompass Monmouth and Ocean County, NJ with respect to specific services and programs and have been ongoing for years.

When did the VA start the Choice Program?

The VA launched the Choice Program on November 5, 2014 as part of the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act of 2014 (VACAA). This program gives eligible Veterans the option to receive health care from providers in their communities. The Department of Veterans Affairs sent all Veterans a Choice Card.

Why is OHI important?

Since the major chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, stroke, COPD and diabetes have become more common OHI seeks to promote healthier behavior choices to users of all ages, relative to chronic disease, for both adults and the elderly .

What time does OHI test?

These services are available on Monday nights from 5 PM - 8 PM at our Freehold location.

What is sliding fee?

A sliding fee scale is available to all patients based on an individual’s ability to pay for the primary and preventative health care services rendered. The sliding fee discount program for both insured and uninsured patients is based on an individual’s income and family size.
