Where can I get dental services at Northshore health centers?

Dental services are available with an emphasis on children and prevention. Dentist services are offered at the Portage Center, Rivera Dental Center in Lake Station, the Merrillville Center, and our center in Hammond, Indiana. NorthShore Health Centers is able to offer our communities dental services that meet the needs of everyone in the family.

What is Northshore Health Center’s policy on parent/guardian visits?

NorthShore Health Centers’ policy is that a parent/guardian must fill out a consent form giving permission for another adult to accompany their child to the child’s medical, dental or vision appointments.

What time do pediatrics see?

At the second appointment, your treatment will begin. Pediatric patients are seen on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Patients from the ages of 3-12 are eligible to be seen as pediatric patients.

Does the Dental Center have a contract with insurance?

The Dental Center does not have contracts with other dental insurance carriers; however, if you choose to receive care here, we will provide you with a form of services provided and a receipt for your payment in full for your submission to your insurance carrier.

Does the Dental Center accept Medicaid?

The Dental Center does not accept the Medicaid card but does provide a sliding scale for those patients who qualify. To see if you are eligible, please call the financial interviewers first.
