How long does it take to get a final report from a radiologist?

Regardless of whether you choose the Results Now option, rest assured that a final report will be delivered to your doctor’s office rapidly. Final results are almost always available with 24 hours. Average report time from when an exam is completed until the radiologist signs the diagnostic report is less than 4 hours.

Can you wait for your results on a radiology exam?

We understand that waiting for the results of your imaging test may cause you significant anxiety. We believe it is your right to know your results. Our Results Now program can eliminate the anxiety that comes with waiting for results. At Northeast Radiology, our physicians will review your images and give you preliminary results while you wait. In some cases, when comparison studies are not available or when advanced computer post-processing is required, it will not be possible to give you preliminary results immediately. In these cases, we will call you as soon as your results are available.

When will Northeast Radiology switch to PACS?

Northeast Radiology will be transitioning to a new PACS starting on May 17th, 2021. All patient procedures performed on May 17th, 2021, moving forward will be accessible only on our new PACS platform. Recently completed procedures will also be available on our new PACS. All users will require a new account to access the new PACS.
