Newborns

We look forward to meeting your infant at their first newborn visit! We like this appointment to be in the first three days of life. Please call us after your baby is born to schedule an appointment. If you are a new family to us, please read through the bios of our pediatricians to choose a doctor who you think might be the best fit.

Comprehensive Care

We care for your child through our routinely scheduled well child visits, along with same-day sick appointments and consultation visits for more medically complex and chronic issues.

Can you access the Portal from a public computer?

We recommend that you not access the Portal from a public computer. Doing so creates a risk that cached copies of the pages you visit could be viewed after you have left, even if you properly logged out of the Portal.

Can you use the portal for urgent care?

The Portal is not a substitute for appropriate and timely contact with your provider.

Is patient portal secure?

We will protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Our Patient Portal secures the information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment. All communications occur over a secure connection. Please review our Notice of Privacy Practices for details as to how we use and protect your confidential information.

What is the goal of a pediatrician?

Our goal is to provide the safest and highest quality of care to our patients at all times. One of the ways we do this is to have your child’s regular doctor, who knows your child the best, refill his or her prescription medications. Some medications require periodic adjustments, and your child’s doctor wants to work closely with you to determine when these are necessary.

Can pediatric concerns be diagnosed?

Most pediatric concerns can be diagnosed and treated at our office. However, should your child need a consultation from the specialist, our physicians will discuss the proposed referral with you and then initiate the process.

What are some examples of pediatric screenings?

These guidelines recommend periodic health and wellness screenings, examples include vision and hearing screening, developmental screening, autism screening, adolescent depression screening, and maternal post-partum depression screening. Please note that some of these screenings may not be covered by your insurance plan.

Does North Seattle Pediatrics bill insurance?

North Seattle Pediatrics will bill the insurance you provide to us at the time of your service. We will ask to see your insurance card at every visit to ensure that we have the most up to date information in your child’s account.
