What Is A Family Physician?

A family physician is a medical doctor who provides continual comprehensive health care for the entire family. Family physicians complete an additional three years of training following medical school focused on treating a patient as a whole.

What Is A Physician Assistant?

By North Carolina law Physician Assistants function autonomously with physician supervision. PA’s hold a graduate-level degree and also provide comprehensive medical care for the entire family. PA’s prescribe medications, treat acute illnesses, and manage chronic diseases.

How Do I Schedule An Appointment For A First Visit?

Simply call our office or send us an e-mail. We will be happy to schedule an appointment for you. When you call to schedule your appointment, our front office staff will request some basic information from you. We also offer same-day appointments.

What Information Do I Need To Bring To My First Visit?

Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration forms. To assist us, please bring your insurance card and a photo ID, as well as a list of any medications, vitamins and/or herbal supplements you are currently taking. If you are bringing your child, please bring his/her immunization records as well.

What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

After you complete the necessary registration forms, we will take some time to get you acquainted with our office. We will discuss our financial policy with you and help set up a financial plan that is best for you. We are always available to answer any questions you may have concerning your account and/or treatment.

How Can I Get A Prescription Refill?

If your pharmacy asks if they may contact us for a refill, please allow them to do so and you need not call us.

Why Do I Need A Referral To See A Specialist?

Most often, insurance companies require a referral to a specialist in order for them to cover their portion of the services provided. Be sure to contact your insurance provider to determine if a referral is needed to see a particular specialist.
