How long does it take for antibodies to develop?

In addition, some people may take even longer than 1-4 weeks to develop antibodies, and some people who have infection may not develop antibodies at all. Do you have to quarantine after a positive test?

Can you use antibodies to diagnose an infection?

Antibody tests should not be used to diagnose acute (current) infection. At this time, we do not recommend use of these tests to determine whether or not you have had previous infection, due to concern for false negative tests and false positive tests.
