If you have questions about your health plan, call the health plan (see the phone numbers above) or call the Hennepin County Managed Health Care Office 612-596-8860. If each of your family members' clinics accept a different health plan, you may choose a different health plan for each person, to allow them to continue to see the same doctor.

What is Hennepin Care?

As part of our mission to ensure access to health care for all, Hennepin Healthcare provides discounted care to eligible patients and families through a financial assistance program called Hennepin Care.

Does Hennepin Care offer self pay?

If you do not have health insurance coverage and do not qualify for our Hennepin Care discount program due to your income level, you will be eligible for the Self-Pay Discount. This discount is available to all uninsured patients who are paying directly for their healthcare services. Patients on this program are required to pay an estimated payment or self-pay deposit prior to or at the time of service and are billed at a discounted amount for any additional charges. This discount will be applied automatically and may vary depending on the location of your service. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 612-873-3073 for more information.

What does "insured patients" mean?

Insured Patients – Patients with insurance will receive a bill for the balances that are determined your responsibility by your insurance company, including co-pays, deductibles, non-covered services, and coinsurance balances.#N#Uninsured Patients – Patients without insurance will receive a bill for the total charges minus any Hennepin Plan discounts if applicable.

You have the right to request amendments to your health information if you feel the records are incorrect or incomplete.
