Heartland Regional Medical Group offers a free online patient portal that allows you to access information about the care you’ve received at this practice, and to communicate with your doctor/healthcare provider. The portal is secure and private; all information is sent via an encrypted connection.
With Patient Portal, you can connect with your doctor through a convenient, safe and secure environment. Forgot username? Forgot password? Are Patient Portal emails being received? It has been known that spam blocking software used by email providers such as AOL and Netzero may be blocking legitimate emails.
(You also can call our Health Information Management department or 618-997-2161 to verify your identity and provide an email address.) Click on the link in the email, and follow the instructions to set up your portal account and create your personal password.

Headland Family Medicine is a medical home offering patients a lasting relationship with a care team to coordinate your healthcare needs. The care team at Headland Family Medicine is made up of Dr. Niel Rasmussen, a board-certified Family Medicine physician; Ramona Bolin, Physician Assistant; and several nursing and clerical staff members. Headland Family Medicine has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for the Diabetes Physician Program for over 10 years now.
Headland Family Medicine accepts patients five days a week, Monday- Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Your care team's schedule is designed to have open appointments during clinic hours. Allowing you to schedule an appointment on the day you contact us.
One of the unique ways we attempt to provide patient centered care is to provide tools for lifestyle management. This is a major focus of our practice model. One of several tangible ways this is addressed at our practice is through monthly group support classes. These are provided as a free support service to our patients who are attempting to use lifestyle changes to treat and reverse their disease processes or even to prevent these so common diseases of today’s culture.
