Dr. Haugen was born and raised in Iowa and attended college at the University of Iowa, majoring in biomedical engineering. She graduated at the top of her class at a time when women were greatly underrepresented in the field. She went on to attend medical school, also at the University of Iowa.

Haugen OBGYN downtown Minneapolis office is located in the RSM Plaza Building. You will find the RSM Plaza Building situated on the southeast corner of Nicollet Mall and 8th Street South. The building can be easily accessed via skyway from the IDS Center or the Medical Arts Building.
