A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear crystalline lens inside the eye. It is not a film on the eye surface. Cataracts form as a natural part of the aging process. Microsurgical techniques are used to painlessly break the cataract into tiny pieces that can be removed from the eye.
If you are having a surgical procedure and have not received an arrival time the Surgery Center will contact you the day before your scheduled procedure to give you your arrival time.
Bring your insurance cards and driver’s license with you the day of surgery. Leave all other valuables at home.
If you are taking medication for breathing, seizure, heart disease or blood pressure, take it the morning of surgery with a small sip of water.
All patients must arrange for a responsible adult to stay at the center during your procedure and provide transportation home.
