Dec 08, 2021 · When you enable Patient Passport messaging, a large orange button appears at the bottom of a patient's “Timeline” page that says “New Message”: Clicking this button will open a blank form to compose a message to your practice. (The form clearly states at the top that Passport is only to be used for non-urgent communication).

Elation Passport is a secure online portal for you and your patient to share and communicate regarding their health information. Elation Passport allows you to send messages from Elation to a Patient's Passport account which can be accessed through a web browser or via the Elation Passport for Patient's smartphone app.
Please Note: Once you invite patients to Passport, everything in the "Vitals", "F/U" and Care Plan" boxes (and the "Plan" section ONLY if you are using the Complete H&P (2 column) Template) will be automatically shared with patients. This includes all visits prior to activating Passport for the patient.
