Where is Derrik from?

Derrik was born and raised in rural southern Illinois. He completed both his undergraduate and physician assistant degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. As a#N#young man he fell in love with the mountains while vacationing to New Mexico, Colorado, and California. Thus, he planned his move following graduation and chose#N#Albuquerque. Derrik is a new provider who is passionate about providing care to the East Mountain area. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, skiing,#N#snowboarding, golfing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and learning about the culture of New Mexico. He looks forward to caring for you and your family!

Where is Deanna Suggs?

Deanna Suggs, RN, MSN, CNP was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her father made his career in the Navy so she moved around throughout life, but Albuquerque was always home. Deanna graduated from Manzano High School, going on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. Shortly after she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at El Paso, and ultimately finished with her Post-Master’s Degree from Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Deanna spent most of her career in Carlsbad, NM and Las Cruces, NM as a director and professor of Nursing. She retired after running the student and employee health clinic in 2013. She has worked as a CNP since 2000, and has a wide background. She has served on many local, state, and national boards and has returned to Albuquerque to be closer to family. She enjoys spending time with her children and two grandchildren. In her free time she loves to travel, shop, and garden. She is looking forward greatly to being a partner in your health care!

Where is Amanda from?

Amanda was raised with her brothers and cousins on her family’s farm & ranch in Montana. In 2003, she started her journey in healthcare as an RN at the University of#N#Colorado Hospital in the Denver Metro area where she worked in Emergency Medicine and Trauma until 2015. After that time, she attended graduate school while working in#N#rural healthcare in North Dakota and Montana. Amanda enjoys teaching and has participated in mentorships for new graduate programs as well as taught CPR courses and#N#Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC). In her spare time, Amanda likes to stay active and enjoys reading, travel, and spending time outdoors with her son and her husband.

Who is Storm Dorrough?

Dr. Storm Dorrough is a Wisconsin native, who completed her Pediatric Training at UNM Children’s Hospital. She fell in love with the land of enchantment, and is excited to stick around and start practicing at Duke City Primary Care. She’s passionate about children’s health, and looks forward to providing quality and comprehensive care for infants, toddlers, children, and teens. Her favorite part of being a pediatrician is seeing children grow and learn, and helping their parents adjust to all the changes and problems along the way. When not taking care of your little one’s she enjoys hiking, backpacking, baking, and playing with her dog Gerald.

Where is Fabian Rodriguez?

Fabian Rodriguez was born in Rome and spent most of his life in Costa Rica. His father is from Spain and mother is from Italy, so he speaks fluent Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and English. He went to Medical School in Costa Rica and Tulane University in New Orleans, and did his residency in Internal Medicine and Practice for more than 10 years in ER back in Costa Rica.#N#He moved permanently to the U.S back in 2002 and worked as a Senior Ship Physician in the Cruise Line Industry for almost 15 years, He then pursued the NP license at the Florida International University in Miami and graduated in 2015. He has been practicing as an NP since 2015, providing commitment, respect, compassion and great quality of service to all his patients.

Who is Brent from UNM?

Brent, a fifth generation New Mexican, graduated from the UNM Physician Assistant program in 2017 and has found his passion serving our community through primary care family medicine. Brent earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UNM in 2013. Exercise science has provided a foundation in Brent’s practice to emphasize the need for a balanced healthy lifestyle, along with needed medicines, in the prevention and maintenance of disease. Outside of work, Brent enjoys spending time with his family and engages in running, hiking and playing guitar.

Where is Ashlee from?

Ashlee grew up in Colorado but returned to her New Mexican roots when she decided to run competitively at the UNM. She also completed her Masters in Physician Assistant studies at UNM where she found a love for caring for the medically underserved of New Mexico. Ashlee has a special interest in Fertility Awareness Based Methods of family planning and practices as a Natural Family Planning only provider with plans to complete NaProTechnology training. When she’s not working, she enjoys running in the foothills and bosque, watching the latest movies, cooking, and spending time with her husband.
