No. All you need is access to a computer, an email account that matches the one provided during registration and an internet connection.

How do I set-up an account?

We provide step-by-step instructions in the Admission Folder you received during your registration. Once you have entered your information and have been prompted to create a username and password, you will only need your username and password to sign into your Patient Portal account.

It’s best to see your primary care physician if you haven’t been in at least a year. Having up-to-date medical records means they can prescribe more medications and better assess any changes to your health.

Primary care is defined by the Institute of Medicine as “the provision of integrated, accessible health care services by clinicians who are accountable for addressing a large majority of personal healthcare needs, developing a sustained partnership with patients and practicing in the context of family and community. ”.

What is a family practitioner?

These doctors (family practitioners) are widely skilled with training in the care of patients at every stage of life, from birth through childhood, adulthood and old age. In residency, a family practitioner receives training on caring for the whole family, including pediatrics and OB/GYN care.

What is a hospitalist?

Hospitalists are physicians and nurse practitioners who specialize in in-patient hospital care. This is a service requested by your physician, and the hospitalist will communicate with your physician regarding your care both during and after your discharge from the hospital.
